Community Cat
A “community cat” refers to a cat that lives outdoors and is part of a local community or neighborhood. These cats may be feral (wild and untamed) or stray (formerly owned but now living outdoors). Community cats can form loose social groups and are often found in urban, suburban, or rural areas. Community cats are a part of the urban ecosystem, and various organizations and individuals work towards their well-being through TNR programs, providing food, shelter, and necessary medical care while respecting their independent lifestyles.
