“Cat zoomies” is a playful and affectionate term used to describe the sudden bursts of energy and wild, unpredictable behavior that cats often exhibit. Similar to the concept of “Frenetic Random Activity Periods” (FRAPs) in dogs, cat zoomies involve high-speed running, leaping, and sometimes spinning. These episodes are typically short-lived and can happen at any time, but they are most common in the evening or night when cats tend to be more active.
