Whisker Fatigue
“Whisker fatigue” is a term used to describe the potential discomfort or stress experienced by an animal when its vibrissae, commonly known as whiskers, are overstimulated or constantly in contact with objects in the environment. Whiskers are highly sensitive touch receptors, and they play a crucial role in providing sensory information to animals. However, excessive stimulation or prolonged contact with objects can lead to whisker fatigue.
